cancellation
What are the cancellation fees?
- 30% of the total upon confirmation
- 50% if cancelled between 14 and 3 days before arrival
- 100% if cancelled within 3 days of arrival If your situation changes, reach out as early as possible and we’ll see what we can do
Can we cancel part of the group?
If whole rooms were booked, whole rooms can be cancelled. For partial changes within a room, only the city tax (where applicable) and breakfast (if booked) can be refunded.

Payment and house rules
When do we pay, and how?
- 30% on confirmation to secure the booking
- Remaining balance due 3 days before arrival We accept credit card at all properties. Wire transfer is available at some locations and will be confirmed in your quote.
Are there any group-specific house rules?
Standard house rules apply to all guests. Groups are asked to nominate a group leader as the main point of contact throughout the stay. Quiet hours, check-in and check-out procedures, and any specific requirements will all be confirmed in your booking details.
How does check-in work for a large group?
We send a form in advance to collect guest information. The more complete it is before arrival, the smoother check-in goes. For very large groups, staggered arrivals can help — your property contact will advise once the booking is confirmed.
Can we mix room types in the same booking?
At Hyve Basel, yes. Dorms, capsules, and private rooms can be combined in one booking. At Lucerne Old Town and Zurich Airport, only capsules are available.
