Private Pods

Shared experience

Designed for comfort

A capsule hotel is a high-quality hotel experience where your bedroom is a private sleeping pod and the rest is shared. Intentionally designed for comfort, great sleep, and a social life that happens naturally rather than by obligation.

Your own little world

Think of your capsule as your own room — it closes, locks, and gives you complete privacy. Inside, you control the lighting and have a mirror, power, USB charging, and enough space to settle in comfortably. Built to reduce noise, so late arrivals won’t disturb you.

Shared rooms with private sleeping pods.

Your capsule sits within a shared room alongside others, which is part of what keeps things affordable without cutting corners on the experience.

The rooms are laid out so that getting in and out, storing your bag, and moving around at odd hours doesn’t mean disturbing everyone else.

The one people worry about most.

And it’s the one that surprises people most when they arrive.

The bathrooms across our properties are designed and maintained to a proper hotel standard: private shower cubicles, good water pressure, clean surfaces, and enough of them that you’re not queuing behind fifteen people at 7am.

More than just a place to sleep.

The common areas are where a capsule hotel either becomes memorable or just fine.
The whole idea is that you get to choose how social you want to be. Some nights you’ll end up in a conversation that goes on longer than you planned. Other nights you’ll want your capsule, your book, and silence.
Both are completely fine, and the spaces are designed with that in mind.

Who stays in a capsule hotel?

Probably someone like you.

You care about where you sleep. You want a comfortable, private space and a good night’s rest. But you’re just not willing to pay for a hotel room twice the size of what you actually need.

A capsule gives you the quality without the bill that makes you sacrifice some part of the trip.

What makes us, us

The capsule hotel concept is Japanese. What we do with it is Swiss.

Capsule hotels originated in Japan. We brought the format to Switzerland and spent years working out what it means to do it well here, with local materials, local suppliers, and a standard of quality that reflects where we come from. For our Copenhagen property, that same mindset means working with suppliers close to the city. The geography changes, the approach doesn’t. Here’s a few things you’ll notice across all our properties:

Artists, not just designers

Guests and team members, equally.
We believe a good workplace and a good guest experience are the same project,
and one genuinely follows the other. Respected, motivated people create spaces that guests want to come back
to. That’s not a coincidence. It’s the
whole idea.

Technology that gets out of the way

We use tech to remove the annoying parts of staying somewhere: the queues, the key confusion, the check-in that takes longer than it should. What that frees up is our team’s time to recommend you the city’s best addresses.

SLEEP TAKEN SERIOUSLY

The pod concept is built around something surprisingly rare in shared accommodation: the idea that guests deserve comfort and privacy. That’s the standard we hold ourselves to.

Spaces that make connection easy

We don’t manufacture community. We design conditions for it: the right light, the right layout, the right atmosphere, and then we let guests find each other naturally.

Common questions about capsule hotels

 Let’s just answer them.

IS A CAPSULE HOTEL CLAUSTROPHOBIC?

The capsule is compact by intention, not by compromise. Dimmable lighting, a mirror, quality bedding, and enough height to sit up and feel settled. Most guests are surprised by how comfortable it feels from the inside.

The structure is built to reduce sound transfer between pods. You’re in a shared building, so it’s not a silent void, but it’s notably quieter than a standard dorm and much closer to a private hotel room than most people expect.

Yes, the bathrooms are shared, but not in the way you might be imagining. Private shower and toilet cubicles, regular cleaning throughout the day, and enough facilities that you’re not sharing with half the building at once. Spotless, every time.

Each capsule locks independently and your belongings stay secured inside it. When you’re checked-in, the capsule is yours and yours only – no one can access it without a code (which only you have). The properties have code access and a host team on site. It’s as secure as a hotel room, with a lot more personality.

In a hostel, you typically sleep in an open dorm with bunk beds and little privacy. In a capsule hotel, your sleeping space is a private pod with its own lock, light, and structure designed to reduce noise. The social spaces are shared, but your sleep environment is yours.

Guests range from solo professionals on work trips to couples to people in their fifties who tried it once out of curiosity and keep coming back. What they have in common is more about mindset than age.

It’s worth looking at the photos and videos honestly before you book. Most people who have that concern find the pod more spacious than they imagined. If you’re still not sure, reach out before booking and we’ll help you figure out if it’s the right fit.

Yes, typically. The shared model means lower cost per night without the shared-room compromises of a traditional hostel. You get a private sleeping pod, hotel-level cleanliness, and real common areas at a fraction of a private hotel room price.
