Capsule Hotel is an independent hospitality group with locations in Lucerne, Basel, Zurich, and Copenhagen.
We build and run capsule hotels: compact, beautifully designed spaces where solo travellers, adventurers, and curious minds feel comfortable, connected, and right at home.
But if you ask anyone on the team what we actually are, they’ll probably say: a group of people who care deeply, learn continuously, and stay for a beer on Friday if no one has other plans.

We believe that where you sleep shapes how you travel. That a well-designed compact space can feel more like a proper retreat than a standard hotel room twice the size. And that the money you save on the room is better spent on the city outside.

Every Capsule Hotel property has its own personality
Built around a unique theme developed with local artists and designed from the ground up to feel unlike anywhere else. From the check-in area to the lobby, the bathrooms to the murals painted inside each individual capsule – every layer tells a story.
What stays the same across all of them: quality you can count on, and a space where you genuinely feel safe. Everything else is a surprise worth having. Some call it affordable luxury. We like to think of it as a bougie hostel.

Capsule Hotel is fully independent. No investment fund, no pressure to scale faster than we’re ready to. We work with trusted private investors who believe in the concept, and that means every new project gets the time and attention it deserves.

– The Visionary
The creative force behind every Capsule Hotel space. He designed them all. And yes, there have been moments where the team looked at an early concept and thought – really?

For our Copenhagen location, he walked in and said “the theme will be fabric.” He then asked everyone to bring old clothes and blankets, and turned it all into handmade art pieces now displayed throughout the hotel. Never doubt the guy.
Chief Financial Officer
– The Banker
The financial backbone of Capsule Hotel. Sharp, meticulous, and truly enjoys his job. Also an avid cook and the kind of athlete who makes the rest of us feel mildly guilty.

Came from corporate life — fast-tracked career, international projects. He always wanted hospitality though. So when the opportunity came, he jumped.

– Always Miky
Runs operations across the group and is the reason things actually happen when they’re supposed to. Precise, calm under pressure, quietly fixes problems before most people notice them.

She has an infallible instinct for knowing when a lunch needs a sweet finish. If Miky’s around, there will be something good on the table. It’s one of those things you only fully appreciate when it’s not there.

Collects plastic from rivers before it ever reaches the ocean. Guests can donate 1 CHF at booking – or it happens automatically when a second towel is purchased during a stay. Every franc removes one kilogram of plastic from the water.
