A place inspired by stories

Lucerne Old Town was imagined like the beginning of a book.

Inspired by stories like Narnia, The Little Prince and Pippi Longstocking, this capsule hotel is built around imagination, curiosity and small hidden details. We worked with Lucerne-based artists Karin and Matthias Leutwyler, who designed custom wallpapers, illustrated murals and created light-changing art pieces that quietly reveal themselves at night.

Some things only appear once the lights dim.

At the heart of the hotel, the large community table tells the story of how Capsule Hotel began. Photos, sketches and small keepsakes from the early days are built into the surface. It’s part memory, part timeline, part meeting place.
